Whitney Houston Funeral Online

Like most celebrities who pass away, everything to do with Whitney Houston has suddenly turned to pure gold.  Her record sales have skyrocketed just like Michael Jackson's and Amy Winehouse's did just after their deaths.

Her popularity now reflecting back to her younger days and not her disastrous Nothing but Love Tour where people were walking out of concerts in Brisbane, Australia, Copenhagen, Denmark and demanding refunds in  the U.K.  I know my memories of Whitney will be how her music was a part of my youth.

Even after her vocal chords were changed by drug and alcohol abuse, Whitney's newest album I Look to You reflected the new sound of her deeper, huskier voice.  Even though she could no longer hit the high notes in I Wanna Dance with Somebody and I Will Always Love You, her newest song I Look to You that was performed on video reflected a more spiritual Whitney who had found her new "voice".

Whitney's Funeral is to be live-streamed on the Internet on Saturday at 12 p.m. (noon) by The Associated Press here.  Aretha Franklin, godmother to Whitney, is expected to be singing at her god-daughter's funeral. Her funeral will be held in Newark, N.J. where Whitney got her start as a gospel singer.  Bobby Brown is apparently invited to Whitney Houston's funeral--all week there were speculatory reports that Bobby Brown would not be allowed to take part.
